Visit of H.E Ambassador of The Republic of South Africa in Tunisia to Zarzis Park

As part of the strengthening of partnership relations between South Africa and Tunisia, Zarzis Park of Economic Activities  was honored, on Wednesday May 26th, 2021, by the visit of His Excellence Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Tunisia Mr. Shiposezwe Masango, accompanied by a delegation of the Embassy and a representative of the South-East Chamber of Commerce as well as the presence of the Mayor of Zarzis, the Head of the Zarzis Customs Office and representatives of industrial companies and NICT companies installed in the Park.


During the meeting which took place in the conference room of Zarzis Smart Center with its hosts, a presentation of Zarzis Park of Economic Activities, its advantages and its future strategic orientation as well as the different points of view relating to the finalization of the “MOU” Memorandum of Understanding were discussed.

This MOU will soon be signed between Zarzis Park of Economic Activities Company and the Special Economic Zone “Coega Development Corporation” in South Africa.

The visit of HE and the accompanying delegation was an opportunity for representatives of industrial and ICT companies located in the Park to present their different products and markets for possible cooperation opportunities with South Africains companies.

On the International Day of Labor

On the occasion of the International Day of Labor, on Saturday, May 01, 2021, an award ceremony was organized under the supervision of the Prime Minister.

This award was given to Zarzis Park of Economic Activities Company for its effective contribution to the advancement of professional relations within the institution, especially by supporting dialogue and consultation, developing human resources, enhancing prevention of occupational risks, developing social activities for the benefit of workers and their families, and organizing work to improve production and productivity.

Visit of The Head of Tunisian Government Mr Hichem Mechichi

On the occasion of the visit he made to the governorate of Medenine to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Epic of Ben Gardan on March 7th, 2021, Hisham El Mechishi, Prime Minister, accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Bou Said, Minister of Trade and Export Development, Acting Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, and Mr. Kamal Doukh, Minister of Equipment, Infrastructure and Minister of Local Affairs and Environment Acting by Mr. Samir Majoul, President of the Tunisian Union for Industry, Trade and Handicrafts,The  governor of Medenine, and a number of representatives of the authority.

After his visit to a number of companies established in the Zarzis Smart Center, which are specialized in Communication and Information Technologies, which are modernized companies, most of them are detained by Tunisian living abroad, the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation listened to a presentation made by Mr. Chaouki Friaa, President and General Director Zarzis Park referred to the outlines of the strategic study carried out within the framework of Tunisian-American cooperation and with funding from USAID through the Tunisia Jobs Program, which aims to complete the Economic Pole project in Zarzis with its four main components, an industrial zone on an area of ​​230 hectares and a logistical area on an area of ​​200 Hectares, service area of ​​144 hectares, and public spaces of 143 hectares.

Monitoring the construction works of GUMP company

Working to promote investments in the industrial sector for its establishment in Zarzis Park of Economic Activities under the best conditions, the GUMP Company began in September, 2020 the construction works of its factory specialized in the valorization of seafood in particular, crabs.

The GUMP Company, in order to make up for the lost time caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, has accelerated in recent weeks the pace of the installation of the necessary equipment for its entry into production intended for the month of April, 2021.
It should be recalled that this project, of Thai & South Korean nationality, with a total investment of 3.229 MD, provides the creation of 517 jobs divided into engineers, senior technicians and workers.

This Smart Center, with an investment exceeding 4 M TND, includes a covered area of ​​2210 Sqm and expandable in its second phase to 4000 Sqm.


Zarzis Smart Center is an architectural success and remains a suitable space for work and relaxation.

Its main components are: Offices and Coworking spaces adapted to the needs of the investor, a multi-purpose room, highly equipped, with a capacity of 160 people and intended for various professional events, a training room with a capacity of 25 people and a Rooftop with a cafeteria, a restaurant and an event space.

This major project carried by the Zarzis Park company since February 2019, represents the realization of the desire to make this strategic location a benchmark development pole in technological and industrial matters in this case, an example in terms of sustainable development.
